Termite Protection For No BURN customers Our Mission: To help No Burn® save lives, to protect homes against termite infestations, and to reduce the amount of toxic poisons and gases released into the environment in killing termites. Cal Oaks Termite is the termite support arm for No Burn® of California. We believe that many lives will be saved, and many individuals will avoid the trauma of being a burn survivor, because of No Burn®. As the termite support arm, we offer a termite extermination guarantee policy, for all houses treated with No Burn® WoodGuard or No Burn® Woodguard MIH. At a fee of 15˘ per square foot, paid annually, we will be responsible to exterminate, not just attempt to treat, but to exterminate dry wood, subterranean, and/or damp wood termites. Our Philosophy: Typically homeowners ignore termite issues until a house is obviously infested or when it is being sold. By then the termites may be widespread and deeply entrenched, requiring more drastic measures to eradicate them. As part of our guarantee, included in the price, we will inspect the home each year by professional, licensed termite inspectors. In this way, early detection is possible and less invasive methods can be employed. Further, because of our relationship with no Burn®, builders are approached on a tract basis rather than individual single homes. This avoids the common scenario in most communities where termites are constantly re-infesting the neighborhood. It also serves as an incentive to the termite company to exterminate any known termites as quickly as possible to prevent spread to additional covered structures. Control Service Vs. Extermination Service: Typically control services are sold after a fumigation or termite service. It is difficult to determine whether “evidence” of termites is new or left over from the previous service. It is profitable and easy for termite companies to attribute all evidence as “old” and therefore no treatment is needed. A control service in California has to spell out its exact terms. Usually “control” means attempt to exterminate. It usually means no guarantee of extermination. When the property is sold, homeowners are surprised to find out that their home is not considered ‘free and clear’, and worse, they must now pay for a fumigation. Cal Oaks Termite does not offer a “control” service, but an extermination guarantee service. We do not guarantee the furnishings as you can bring infested furniture into your structure. But, we absolutely are responsible to exterminate all dry wood, damp wood, and subterranean termites within the building components to a ‘free and clear’ status.
